It's my first time getting a facial at Metamorphosis, is there anything I should know?
We recommend consulting with your esthetician before you begin your treatment, to discuss your options, new offerings, and what might best benefit you. Please let her know if you prefer more massage, if you want more extractions, or if you really crave a combination. It's easier for us to meet your needs if you tell what you want from the 'get-go'. Your esthetician will also make you aware of any extra charges associated with additional services that you might request. Our Service Menu is always available for your price checks.

Your facial is the first, but not the only step toward seamless skincare. At Metamorphosis, we're big on 'follow up', so please feel free to peruse the personalized product pack that awaits you at checkout. These lotions and potions are chosen specifically by your esthetician (after she stares at your t-zone through a 5 diopter magnifying lens under a harsh light for an hour) to keep your skin behaving. Our front desk staff can answer any questions you might have on the what, when, where, and why of your recommended regimen. Your skin needs between-facial protection

Can I put make-up on after a facial?
Make-up shouldn't cause any post-facial clogging, unless you've had a peel treatment or laser procedure. You should try to keep your skin clean at least for a couple of hours. Otherwise, make-up as you wish.

I forgot to book waxing. Can I get it done during my facial?
You never know until you ask. Once you get into the room with your esthetician, let her know your needs. If she has time, she will absolutely accommodate you.

What do I wear?
For massages, wear whatever makes you comfortable. You will be draped with sheets and blanket all the time, but what is most important is your comfort.

We will provide you with robe and slippers when you go from one treatment into another. Under the robe, you may wear whatever you want.

Should I tip? What's normal?
Leaving gratuities for work well done seems to be the norm, but of course, is optional. Most tips range from 15%-20% of the price of the service provided.

Do I have to chat with my massage therapist?
Not for a second. Your massage therapist is a massage therapist, not a speech therapist. If you feel like chatting, go ahead. If you don't, mention that you really would hate to miss any part of the massage by engaging in idle chatter, lie down and zone out!

Does any "reckless abandoning" happen here at Metamorphosis?
No. Your esthetician may leave your treatment room for a few moments (once or twice during your facial or body treatment) either to mix up a mask or to let you relax. If you get claustrophobic or nervous when nobody's around, speak up, so he or she can make the out-of-room mask mixing 'quick'.

Why do I need to give you my credit card information to make an appointment?
All new clients are required to enter their credit card information. Your credit card number is used to secure your appointment.

However, if you fail to appear for your appointment without attempting to cancel your appointment beforehand, a full fee is charged to your credit card for missed appointments that are reschedule or canceled less than 24 hours or 48 hours on spa packages. This is why we require a credit card from you to guarantee your reservation.
