How Does Airbrush Tanning Work?
Metamorphosis SunMist works by using our SunMist airbrush tanning system. It is applied by spraying the body with a UV free solution. The active ingredient in SunMist is Dihydroxyacetone DHA. DHA is a colorless sugar that has been FDA approved for more than 30 years, which darkens the skin. DHA works by interacting with the amino acids in the dead surface cells found in the outermost layer of the skin, producing color changes. As the dead skin cells are naturally wearing off, the color gradually fades, just like a genuine suntan. This does not cause damage to the underlying living layers of skin.

Is Airbrush Tanning Safe?
Yes, the active ingredient DHA has been approved for cosmetic applications for 30 years. Most Sunless and bronzing tanning lotions use DHA. How Long Does Airbrush Tanning Take To Apply?
It takes about 15 to 20 minutes for the whole process to be complete. The first 10 minutes is having the DHA solution applied to your body. Then it takes about five to 10 minutes for it to dry.


How should I prepare for my Airbrush Tanning session?    Exfoliate the body and shower before you spray the body with Metamorphosis SunMist. Make sure that there are no oils, lotions, perfumes, and make up on the body best to wear loose-fitting clothing after your session. During your session you can wear a bathing suit while getting sprayed.

What should I do after my Airbrush Tanning session?
Wear loose-fitting clothing for about three hours. And also do not shower, work out, or do any activity that you can sweat for the same period of time. This allows the DHA solution plenty of time to react with the amino acids in the skin.
